Your searches and trips
Hermara stores recent searches, search preferences and guest trips in your browser on this device. Clearing browser storage removes those local copies. Export a trip copy if you want a backup.
When account storage is connected and you sign in, you can choose which trips to save to your account. Account requests verify your session, and each account can access its own records.
Partner search tools
Supported partner searches open automatically on Hermara when you submit a search or open a page containing a partner tool. These tools may receive your search details, load resources and use cookies. You can turn them off on this device below; Hermara remembers that choice. The provider’s own privacy policy applies when you use its widget or leave Hermara.
A nearby departure airport
When no departure airport is saved or supplied in your search link, Hermara can request an approximate IP location from GeoJS and suggest the closest airport with scheduled service in the OurAirports dataset. Your browser connects directly to GeoJS, which receives your IP address. We do not request your device’s precise location or save your IP address or location coordinates. Only suggested airport codes are cached on your device for one day.
IP location can be wrong, especially with a VPN or mobile network. The nearest airport may not have the best route or fare. You can change the departure airport in any flight search. A manually chosen or saved airport takes precedence.
Optional advertiser artwork
Some destination and cruise pages offer original advertiser banners. Hermara does not request those network-hosted images until you choose to load and remember that artwork. After that choice, the same artwork loads automatically on future visits on this device. Each artwork has a separate choice. Loading it connects your browser to CJ’s servers, which may receive your IP address, browser information and referral context, record an impression and use cookies. Hiding the artwork also forgets that choice; it does not undo a request already sent. You can turn off all remembered artwork below. Choices are separate from partner search tools and Hermara’s optional measurement, and are remembered only for this visit if browser storage is unavailable.

Blog conversations
Comments are stored on Hermara’s server for review. After approval, the display name, comment and submission date are public. No email is requested. Your browser keeps a removal key so you can withdraw your comment. We keep a temporary, salted rate-limit identifier in server memory to apply an hourly spam limit; raw IP addresses are not written to the comment database. Hosting providers may maintain their own request logs.

Optional site measurement
If you opt in, Hermara counts page views, searches and outbound partner clicks, with a broad arrival-source category such as search, social or unknown. Only that category is sent, not the referring URL or search parameters. No visitor or session identifier is created. Your dates, party, addresses, account and trip IDs are not event labels. A click is not a purchase. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable collection. Turning this off stops future events; previously collected aggregate counts cannot be linked back to your device.
Destination updates
If you request destination emails, Hermara stores your email, chosen destination and consent state. Updates begin after email confirmation. Use the unsubscribe link to stop them. Email delivery stays off until the sender is configured.
Sharing a trip
A share link reveals a snapshot of the destination, travel dates and saved ideas to anyone who has the link. Private notes, traveler details, booking references and budgets are excluded. You can revoke a link from the device that created it.
Bookings
Bookings and payments take place with the travel provider. Hermara cannot read a provider’s booking confirmation through a Hermara browser cookie. You can add a private booking record to your trip yourself.
Keep control of your information
You can remove local trips from My Trips, turn off partner tools above, and revoke shared trip links. Download a trip copy before removing data you want to keep.
