A family trip that works for everyone traveling
Keep adults, children’s ages, rooms, luggage and everyday travel needs together from search to the provider’s final checkout.

Start by entering everyone who is traveling and their room needs. Then choose a plan with enough room for the journey, settling in and the different paces of the group.
Make the room and party explicit
Enter children’s ages as required by the booking provider and check the allocation of adults and children to each room. Beds, maximum occupancy and a child’s booking category depend on the actual room and provider.
When a provider cannot receive the complete party, review and enter the missing details there before comparing or paying. A room price for two adults is not a quote for a larger family.
Plan how everyone and the bags move
Match transfers or the rental vehicle to the complete group and luggage. Ask the operator about any required child seats and how to arrange them. Keep airport-to-hotel transport distinct from later outings and the return journey.
Leave space and check official requirements
Choose one main outing per day and keep an alternative that works if the group needs a slower day. For international travel with children, use the relevant official authorities to check documents and any additional requirements for your circumstances.
Flying with children
The FAA recommends that young children fly in an approved child restraint system in their own seat rather than on a lap. Check that your car seat is labelled for aircraft use and fits the airline’s seats. Request seats together when booking and check the airline’s family seating policy.
Pack snacks, a change of clothes and something new to do in the cabin bag. Baby formula and breast milk are allowed in reasonable quantities through U.S. screening but must be declared.
