Compare Haneda and Narita arrivals, choose a useful station and find a room that actually fits your travelers. The choices below connect a useful base with realistic day plans and the bookings that matter first.

01

Plan from the airport to the right station exit

Haneda and Narita have different journeys into Tokyo. Use the official airport guides for the actual terminal, arrival hour and route to your base. A flight saving can still be worthwhile, but count the extra ground time and price.

Save the hotel’s own access instructions and the station exit. For an interchange such as Shinjuku or Tokyo Station, the final part of the journey deserves more attention than the distance implied by a nearby-station label.

Check service at the hour you will clear arrivals.
Save the address and final route offline.
02

Give northeastern and western Tokyo separate days

Ueno and Asakusa offer a useful northeastern day shape for visitors interested in museums, parks and older-city streets. Choose a main visit and allow time to eat rather than treating each neighborhood as a quick photograph.

Shinjuku and other western areas make a contrasting day. GO TOKYO’s neighborhood pages help identify the things that actually interest you. Do not put several distant anchors into the same morning just because the city has extensive rail connections.

Use a small geographic cluster each day.
Check current official details for any major paid experience.
03

Compare room space and bed space separately

A room can permit a family without providing the sleeping setup you expect. Confirm every occupant, child age and included bed in the final rate. Compare two rooms with a family-sized room only after both options describe what your group actually needs.

Check the stated room size, bags and daily routine as well. A low rate can be good value for a short stay yet awkward for a week with several cases. Put any extra room or bedding cost in the full accommodation total.

Confirm the actual sleeping arrangement.
Compare the same dates, occupants and cancellation flexibility.
